For fans of Nic Faniciulli and Kaskade, this remix package serves up deep and tech house edits from Gavin Boyce aka Untaken City. It comes hot on the heels of Untaken City's excellent 'Music Owns You' on 1999 Recordings.

Gavin has been an avid lover of dance music since his early teens listening to mix tapes from the warehouse raves in the U.K. and going to the legendary club nights in Waterford, Ireland (Metroland & Roxy). He picked up his first set of turntables 13 years ago and has not stopped trying to excel himself since. In the past 8 years his DJ career has escalated to the next level as he became resident for no less than two of Waterford's most popular club nights Republik and Resistance. It's here Gavin supported the world biggest DJs who headlined in Waterford. Both of these residencies gave him a chance to play a more diverse range of house music which shows in his productions.

Where most producers pigeonhole themselves Gavin has left the book wide open. Soon after gaining his first residency his first track was signed to Canadian label 'Sounds Like Ultra' and the production bug has not stopped with over 10 releases across as many labels.

And with that said his tracks have captured the ears of some of the big time players in the house music scene over the last few years including Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, Mark Farina, Kaskade, Fish Go Deep, DJ Harri and Mazi. Gavin has had tracks licensed to compilations from Ministry of Sound and Om Records. 2008-09 saw the Irish man release 2 EPs on Vancouver's excellent Nordic Trax imprint.

In 2010 Gavin is hard at work in the studio with some big names like Chez Damier and JT Donaldson and local talent like Solar Taxi. Gavin also produces under the Untaken City moniker which sees its first release in 2010 on Manchester label 1999 Recordings - already recieving big support from people like Orde Meikle of Slam, Shane Johnston of Fish Go Deep and DJ Harri of Sub Club.

Solar Taxi present their second offering 'Blame Game'. The original version will appeal to fans of CSS, Chromeo and Soulwax, while remixes from Soydan and Frederik Olufsen are aimed at club dancefloors.

Soydan needs no introduction to house fans with his ever popular label Yakuza consistently turning out funky tracks. Having recently released 'The Latin Kardes' with DJ Sneak, Soydan is now a busy DJ with regular slots around Europe and across America and continues to build his name as a producer for record labels including Guesthouse, Limon, Lingo, Shak and of course Yakuza.

Danish electro house producer Frederik Olufsen ups the tempo and the bass with his remix of 'Blame Game'. In 2008 Frederik had his first signing to the Danish house label Nightology Records, quickly followed by contracts at the acknowledged Italian house-label Krone Records, and later American Coco Machete (Buzzard Gulch), Mizumo Music, Big Fish Recordings, Stereo Soul Recordings and Erase Records.

Frederik Olufsen manages to create a completely unique sound-specter, by combining his musical past and present which results in elements of classical music and loads of funk. Frederik is also label boss of Royal Fetish Recordings, focusing on funky bass fueled electro house and french touch nu-disco both more than likely with a unique twist.
